Flea-combing your pet regularly is a safe and effective way to deal with fleas on your pet. Keep the comb clean by dipping it in a hot water and vinegar solution. If your pets spend time outdoors, consider planting mint, rosemary, citronella, fennel, lavender or pennyroyal in your garden, which repel fleas.
