Cockroaches

As with most indoor pests, the key to eliminating cockroaches in your home is to remove any sources of food, water, and suitable habitat for them. Keeping food in sealed containers, not leaving dirty dishes out, cleaning up spills immediately, rinsing out cans and bottles before putting them in the recycling, and keeping a tight lid on your trash bin will reduce food availability. Caulk and weatherstrip any holes around water pipes, baseboards, electrical fixtures, etc., and put screens over windows, vents, floor and sink drains, to eliminate access routes for roaches. Get rid of old newspapers, magazines and paper bags, and keep wood piles well away from the house. Sticky traps are also available to help control cockroaches.
