On Saturday, June 9th, come take part in a World Oceans Day Celebration at the Plaza of Nations put on by Surfrider Foundation Vancouver, Ocean Wise, UN Association of Canada- Vancouver Branch, Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, and the City of Vancouver.
The event will include an educational fair, panel speakers, and a shoreline cleanup. SPEC will be there representing the work we do for the community in zero waste, food and environment, and clean energy and transportation. We encourage you to come out from 10:30am-2pm to talk to us and some of the top organizations in Vancouver and Canada who are working to protect our waters, defend our marine life, and reduce plastic pollution. Afterwards, join in for a beach cleanup of the surrounding shoreline!
